    About ASEACCU

    The Association of Southeast and East Asian Catholic Colleges and Universities (ASEACCU) Conference is a yearly conference gathering Jesuit Universities within Southeast and East Asia.The 22nd ASEACCU Conference theme is “Catholic Higher Education for Social Justice” and will explore the issues of social justice and the many ways that institutions can develop social justice leaders and advance an active social justice community.


    Attending Sessions

    Content presented at the 22nd ASEACCU Conference is subject to your registration agreements.Taking photographs, recording video and engaging in any form of live blogging during ASEACCU sessions are expressively welcome just as long as they do not disrupt the session in progress.
    All ASEACCU presentations are given in English only. Ateneo de Davao University is handicap-accessible.

    Each member-school may send an unlimited number of participants for both faculty and student programmes.

    Optional Samal Tour

    Participants who wish to join the Samal Tour may pay the Tour Fee of 20 USD at the Registration Desk in the venue during the event. The fee will include the meals, rent for snorkelling gears and island hopping. For more information about Samal Island Click This Link.


    Transportation, Lodging, and Visitor Info



    Francisco Bangoy International Airport is Davao City’s main airport and would require land transport to reach the Ateneo de Davao University Campus.


    International Travel

    If you’re not a Philippine resident, we recommend that you check with the Philippine Embassy for information on required documents and arrangements you’ll need to travel to the Philippines.If you need a letter to confirm your attendance at the 22nd ASEACCU Conference, contact us.

    Public Transporation and Parking

    The conference committee would be providing buses for transportation between venues and tours. However if you wish to explore the city, Davao City employs a wide variety of transportation methods such as Trikes, Jeepneys, and Taxis.

    Parking at the Ateneo de Davao University campus is limited depending on the available space.

    Tickets and Attendance

    To buy a ticket to the 22nd ASEACCU Conference you must register online on the 2014 ASEACCU conference website at or fax the completed registration form at

    Fee for faculty members (single room) USD 400
    Fee for faculty members (sharing maximum of 2 persons) USD 300
    Fee for students USD 225

    Attendees must obey all safety signage, instructions and rules. Ateneo de Davao University reserves the right to refuse admittance to, or remove any person from the 22nd ASEACCU Conference (including events) at any time in its sole discretion, including but not limited to attendees behaving in an inappropriate, disorderly, or dangerous manner or failing to comply with these terms and conditions.

    Ateneo de Davao University is not responsible for any property that is lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed at the 22nd ASEACCU Conference.

    Film and Video Consent

    Photographs, audio and/or video taken at the 22nd ASEACCU Conference by Ateneo de Davao University, or others on behalf of Ateneo de Davao University, may include your voice, image or likeness.You agree that Ateneo de Davao University may use such photographs, audio and/or video, including those that may contain your voice, image or likeness for any purpose on a worldwide basis in perpetuity, without any compensation to you, and you release Ateneo de Davao University from all liability related thereto.You are permitted to make audio or audiovisual recordings of the 22nd ASEACCU Conference or take professional photographic equipment into the Ateneo de Davao University Campus.


    No Soliciting

    Solicitation or selling of items or services is not allowed at the 22nd ASEACCU Conference. Any attendee conducting these activities may be removed from the conference.


    No Smoking

    Smoking (including e-cigarettes) is not permitted inside the Ateneo de Davao University campus as well as the city. Please refrain from smoking.



    You must wear your ASEACCU Conference badge at all times to receive admittance to the ASEACCU Conference. If requested by security, please display or provide additional identification if required.


    In Case of Emergency


    Medical and other Emergencies

    For emergency services (Fire, Medical, Police), please dial extension 8222 from any conference/internal telephone or find any uniformed security guard or call Davao City’s Emergency number 911



    In case of fire, leave the building immediately by walking to the nearest safe exit. Leave all belongings. Do not use the elevators. Do not return to the building until authorities indicate that it is safe to do so.



    Should an earthquake occur, remain calm and take cover under a stable object. Face away from glass, unstable objects, and tall structures. Remain where you are until the shaking stops and wait for further instructions, from authorities. If directed to evacuate the campus, walk to the nearest exit. Do not use the elevators and do not return to the building until authorities indicate that it is safe to do so.

    Non-emergency Medical Assistance

    A medical technician is on call throughout the conference for non-emergency medical assistance only. Please go to the Information Desk.



    Every precaution is taken to ensure that the 22nd ASEACCU Conference is a safe and secure learning environment for attendees. Security guards are present at all times inside the campus. Please report concerns about suspicious or disruptive activity to the nearest uniformed security guard.
